Los arcabuceros are the soldiers who each carried an arquebus (Yes, once again we use the French word in English.} ... ;)
This is a picture of an arquebus ...

The Musketeers also carried the arquebus (which was considered by some to be a "lighter" version of the musket of the time.
Here is a picture of a Musketeer with an arquebus ...

All the best and thanks for the great custom and foto, Yoyei,

We do not have the title "Virrey" in English. Is it the same as a "Viceroy" or is it something different?
-
A 'rey' is a king. 'Virrey' is a very powerful figure that represents to the king in a new territory. I don't know if it's meaning is the same that 'viceroy'

Thanks for the explanation of "virrey," Yoyei.
Yes a "virrey' is a "viceroy" {lo mismo)...
"A viceroy is a royal official who governs a country or province as a substitute for the monarch. The term derives from the Latin prefix vice-, meaning "in the place of" and French roi, meaning king."
And, your "Virrey" looks very, very powerful!
All the best mi amigo,
Richard

Yoyei, your customs are wonderful. The detail, and the fine painting job on the armor are great. I cannot wait to see more!
(What type of paints are you using on the armor? It looks very realistic.)
-
Incredible! Great Customs! Please show us more if possible.

Thanks :D
I have used the warhammer paints and another brand that I don't remember now. To paint the armors I used technics like 'pincel seco' and 'aguada'. I don't know the translation in english, sorry.
-
The second custom here is really good, but the first is breathtaking!
WONDERFUL
pincel seco must be `dry brushing,´ but I can´t work out the other term; what does it mean literally?
-
David, I believe "aguada" is a wash technique.
Yoyei, you have used both techniques masterfully - the final result is truly marvelous! Congratulations!
-
Very great customs! I like very well the first one.
Thank for these idea and pictures ;)

And what about this terrorific guy?
-
scary
-
Hello, Yoyei ...
This helmet would certainly protect the face. But, I would be afraid that I coulnd't get it off. Then I would be the "Man in the Iron Mask" ... :(
I think that I like the "comb" Morion better on the Conquistador ... ;)
Yes ... He is "Terror-ific" ... (both for his enemy and for himself) ...
All the best,
Richard

Very interesting. I must say I like the helmet very much, although it does not seem to belong to a conquistador - he looks like a cross between a gladiator and a conquistador.
And he is indeed VERY scary!
-
Que guay tio, me mola! Really cool and nice work! I was just reading a book about the Spanish search for Cibola (El Dorado) in the area of what today is New Mexico and Arizona of the United States. It mentions Coronado's red beard, so it is really exciting to see your figures. Really looking forward to seeing more!

Ah! Wash technigue. Thanks Captain Enrique.
Hey, that third figure is pretty amazing too, especially the helmet.
