Title: Little Wars rules by HG Wells
Post by: Capitan Enrique on May 08, 2005, 02:52:56 AM
Well, since this is a forum about Playmobil and battles, I thought I'd tell you where you can get the famous Little Wars rules by HG Wells (yes, the same HG Wells that wrote War of the Worlds and The Time Machine).

The rules are available online, through the Guttenberg Project that distributes works in the public domain, here (http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/3691) or here (http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/webbin/gutbook/lookup?num=3691).

Try them out and let us know if you like them, and don't forget to post pictures of your battles!

Although I have never wargamed,I did read the Little War rules at Garden Wargaming. They seemed straight forward enough, but I remember thinking , they would need a large number of soldiers and probably quite a lot of space.
Can anyone tell me if I am correct. What is the smallest feasable army for playing?

Hello, David ...

The last battle fought in Texas was indoors in a room about six metres by five metres and we only had about twenty-five Playmobil figures on each side. Take a look ... Our first International Garden Wargame was fought in Texas between Germany and Ireland ... (https://gardenwargaming.com/wargame/wargames/oliver.html)

All the best,
Richard
