ogh cheng is sending an armada of rowing boats to invate the New World  Very nice where did u get all those boats from? And what color did u use to paint the spears? They r shining better then mines *regarding at them being jalous* :D

hey deadeye dick...
its good to be in a building-phase...you can feel the eagerness and excitement when getting the parts...i'm planning to improve my conquistadors with those zig-zag and also those lacey collars...and more bell/ballooned arm/shoulder 'covers'...but its all from my imaginations...do let me know if you have some reference pictures!

halo again GaiusIulius!
armada of rowing boats  ...i would have used them for a pearl harbour diorama if i was interested in WWII
those boats are from my pirate prison sets, row boat(with shark) sets and i cant quite remember which sets the blue ones came from :P
oh no...dont follow me then...i use tamiya 'gun-metal' which is darker...it must have been the flash from my camera...i dont like them too shiny...there are lots of silver spary paints which are really shiny & bright(i have a can of silver tamiya spray too but i use it only for my knights)

Nice work on los conquistadores Cheng!
Diego Rivera did some wall paintings at the Mexican National Palace that have depictions of conquistadores, they might be worth checking out. A couple of links are:

thanks Jinete....very good...i can see they wear tights...some sandals....some boots...some 'roman' skirts...breast plates that cover their back as well(do they sometimes only protect their front, you think?)
and those ballooned shoulders are a must! and their 'standing' collars...thats interesting...roughly around what era/years you think?
