Viva Mexico!

Odd fact.  One of those killed at the Alamo was a retired British Major General - a Welshman called Edward Edwards (there's a memorial to him in a church at Aberdare in Wales) and to this day no one knows which side he was on!

Was he "inside" with Travis, Davy Crockett & Co or "outside" advising General Santa Anna?

I have like reference only of old films on Alamo, but historically Speaking, this War was why?
