hello,
i've tried to realize a british paratrooper of WWII
Let me know really what you think about.......
-
really awsome. The first thing I did was laughing because this is such a cool customized figure. Ive never even thought about custome figures for WWII. Very nice painting and extras (rifle)
-
Very good!
Are you planing to make more wwII soldiers?
Greetings
Lars

thanks.......
I will make others.....but i'm not sure that the result will be really good.
But as master yoda said: do, not try.....
i'm just a little jedi

garvannec,
Great custom! Would you care to explain whether the parts used are Playmobil or molded by you? Any help you can give us aspiring customizers would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Matt/Wisc

okey,
The helmet is the one of the bike cop but i was obliged to model it, all the belt is realized by plastic profile, after it is paint......the gun is not a playmobil gun.........sorry  (ultimate soldier)
that's all.

Playmobil WW2 is not my cup of tea, but this one is good. Where could you found a plane for thie guy?

stephane,
In the sky.......  (i'm jocking)
No idea, but i don't know if i must continue in this direction, you know that when i went to create some figure it's always with the desire to creta a unit not just one, and for wwII it's really hard because there's nothing in playmobil hobby to help you.......but in an other part that's the fun too!!!

... for wwII it's really hard because there's nothing in playmobil hobby to help you ...
That's very true, Garvannec, but as you said that's what makes it fun! And, you look like that you had lots of fun making a very fine British Paratrooper!
Have you ever seen the WWII German figures that Dragon Miniatures made in the same scale as Playmobil? And, did you ever see the Playmobil WWII German figures that Otto Schiller created that were in the Guest Gallery at Garden Wargaming? (Zirndorf asked us to delete the fotos, which we did.)

Very good Garvannec

Wonderful! In a way, although WWII uniforms may not be as elaborate as some of the Napoleonic ones, I think they may be more challenging because more of them have to be modelled from scratch.
I am eager to see your unit grow, and to see some opponents for the British - maybe some fallschirmjagers?

 I've been poking around the great conversions & just needed to stop & say WOW! There is a lot of great work here!

Keep "poking" around, Ty ... ;)
It's amazing what you might find ...
And, don't hesitate to reply to any post (no matter how old it is). Because everyone will enjoy reading your comments!
All the best

Very very nice.
Somehow he looks like a paratrooper and not just any old British soldier.
-
Great job, garvannec!
The camouflage pattern looks great and I like all the small details, especially the webbing you added to the helmet. Nice touch of realism. 8)
I missed this topic when it was first posted, so thanks, Ty, for helping me to find it more easily.
I think I'm getting in the mood to do some more customising myself after having just a quick look around at the creations in this part of the forum. There's so much at GW-PC to get inspired by! :D
