A bunch of sets from the times between 1740 and 1760, from Fontenoy to Plassey, from the French and Indian War to Prussia vs. Austria.

There are different ways to deal with the trousers/gaiters-problem. I really like the toy-like approach.
-
Ralf, what you refer to as 'toy-effect' is nostalgic...like kids or dolls wearing those leg warmers that ends like socks ;)
i'm quite curious about those units wearing those fur caps (Grenadiers à cheval.) and the other unit wearing those soft caps...can you share some prints/drawings/links with us?
..and thanks for showing these beautiful cavalry units...I'm not familiar with them at all.

thanks for the links Ralf!
these caps (drawings) are very very unusual.....and I salute your skill as always in portraying these using genuine parts...and I've learnt some more European history today! :)
-
you created (yet again) the look and feel on the depictions of the swarming battles of the period
and thank you for the links. we need a geobra manufactored volontaire de Schomberg (http://leuthenjournal.com/leuthenjournal/France.html#16)

Ralf, everyone knows that you have created your beautiful sets from available Playmobil parts. And, we all know that we could easily recreate your marvelous toy soldiers by simply disassembling the correct Playmobil figures and reassembling them using what you've created as an example. Yet, if I were to go into a toy shop and see your boxed sets of Playmobil toy soldiers, I know that I could not resist buying each and every one of them.
Ralf, once again you have magically transformed Playmobil into something that's incredibly fantastic !!!
Thank you very much my friend,
Richard

Across the pond. ;)
I love your use of the new cavemen boots, :)
They are very versatile. :o
-
These new French and Indian War customs are magnificent, Ralf! I really think they are some of your best. I too love the use of the new cavemen boots. :)
-
..and I like your use of those 'Russian' fur hats, the Santa cap and ESPECIALLY the hunter's cap (I never really know where I can use them so whatever you show me, I'll take them as Gospel" ;D)
-
........
-
like we have said many times; "they look so new with old parts" Ralf, I look forward to your use of those new cavemen parts ;)
-
Fantastic. Especially the use of those legs that I considered very cave theme specific for woodland persons. :o Not to speak of that you created a complete new theme once again. :o :o :o

We are leaving Europe in another direction:

Finally a use for those ridiculous Roman Officers (part #3Ø ØØ 2852 and the like). ;D

Wonderful customs, Ralf! I think your Indians here from Plassey might be your greatest customs yet! :)
-
I lost the count of your new, extraordinary and 'You just made it although I never would have thought that this is possible at all' themes. #30 or so. And it is not that I never thought about moghul era :o :o :o

Ralf's home/collections/museum would be a very absorbing place to visit...well before before PM funpark ;)

They really are super. I specially like Roger's Rangers.

À la mode Watteau. :)

I'd rather not do button (or in this case facial hair) counting but the ubiquitous moustache seems to me a 17th, 19th and certain decades of the 20th century thing. ;)
But much more important: a felicitous continuation of your latest theme. :)
-
.....the barber has been sent to war to secure the peaceful and luxurious life of the people at court..........
-
Again spectacular. I especially like the first gentry couple.

All of your 18th century aristocrats are absolutely gorgeous, Ralf! :o
What set(s) are the purple arms that you've used with the long purple coats with red and green trim from?
-
The arms belong to a prince from the recent fairytale theme. I had to use my rubber to relieve them of the golden decoriations.
-
These are getting better and better. Esp. pic 1-3 of your last batch.

I like all but especially those guys with spectacles. They look so enlightened.
-
astounding...breathtaking....incredible....I've rn out of original expressions, Ralf (but looks like you've not near running out of these! ..and with your "rubber-works"....many of us old collectors are still at awe with: "where does this part come from?? do we have these??"

-
Ralf,
Thank you for continuing to post your wonderful creations here at GW-PC !!!
Your latest "Tricorne Period" figures really capture the flavour of the period.
They look like a couple of wealthy merchants or aristocrats who are just about to go to the local pub for a pint!
Thanks again, my friend,
Richard
