Hello Garden Wargamers ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/wave.gif)
David Hamer (aka warrensde) has created some great Playmobil customs from this period.
Here are a couple of photos. Would everyone like to see more? ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/grinklicky.gif)

Hello WoT (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/wave.gif)
OK ... Here a few more photos of David's Seven Years War Playmobil customs.
(NOTE: David sculpted the original mitre hat for his Prussian Grenadiers and sent it to me so that I could create a mould and send him back the castings to paint for his figures.)

Magnificent! :o
Thanks for these Richard! :D

These are extremely impressive -- the customs themselves and the photos.
Not my period, and I go for all-original-parts myself, but that doesn't mean I don't recognise a master at work!
My hat (tricorne or mitre!) is off to David Hamer, and many thanks to Richard for posting the photos.
Cheers,
AndrewL

Is he really back? Great!
And a wonderful topic as well.....just a few days too early. My harddrive is full of new photos exactly from the same period of time. I just have to run them through "packaging"....mine are orginal parts only and won't reach this level we can see here (especially lacking a mitre cap) but stay tuned!

Thank you for posting these evocative and inspiring customs. If there was a Geobra SYW range it would have to look like this exactly (maybe only less buttons on the gaiters ::)).
Is there any chance for more pictures of the Austrians. With some of the new parts now around I just recently discovered a soft spot for the 18th century and esp. Austria.
And @specialist: We can't wait as you will imagine. ;D

Thank you for reminding me. I want to have this too but while I have enough mustaches already I still have to find a way to make the funny tufts from pm parts.

great Customs , beautiful ! ;D
-
thanks for sharing Richard!
I've been away from GW too long :P
their setting and photography is wonderful...
altho I also try to stick to PM parts, and PM-(simplified)styled parts, i cant help but admire their turn-back coat-tails, drums and ammo pouches :)
David's use of a female head (with rosy cheeks) for the drummer boy is admirable

Very impressive customs! :)

They are what got me started converting klickies. His redcoat Grenadiers were my PC wallpaper you a long time.
