It seems that to have fun playing little wars, one must be able to move the men easily.  "soldiers stand well on closely mown grass" is not exactly true as i see it.  I had great difficulty getting the infantry to stand outside.  I think one solution could be to cut little squares of indoor/outdoor carpet from Lowes or such stores.  These green squares could be used as figure stands for infantry.  They wouldn't stick out and the men would easily stand on them in groups of 4 or 6 or whatever.  Just an idea to ease outdoor play.

As many of you will remember, Playmobil once made bases for every Klicky! It is unfortunate that these bases are no longer available ... :(

Is this through your direct service or the US direct service?  How big is the base diameter?

I am disappointed that Playmobil USA doesn't have stuff like the Union Cannon (that looks very nice). Hopefully I can get shipping from Canada.

Is a dammed lie*.  They stand on flat surfaces and that's all.

I gave up with single figures on grass & used "squads" of 6 or more all fixed to a very thick card base (we call it "hardboard" in the UK) which worked but as for individual figures I didn't bother.
