Slight ambush, precious photographies  :D

Very nice photos! I see railroad tracks in one - maybe you can recreate the stealing of the locomotive The General (one of my favorite stories of the Civil War)?
Here are a couple of links to sites that talk about the chase...

very nice customs and pictures cooster67!
need to learn from you;
did you paint light blue(but didnt have the same dearker blue paint) on some kepis to hide the calvary crossed swords or was it to depict a particular unit(with light blue tops)?
what made you decide to use the bodies & arms from the new captain?(and we dont even have the 2004 northerner here in my local stores :) )
....was it the stripes on his sleeves? (breast pockets were not 'invented' yet)
i mean to compare/learn...please do not take it as corrections/criticisms...i too do compromise history, since i dont use milliput or try not to do painting by hand...afterall they are toys...our toys :)

Hello Cheng,
The kepis are not painting.
I take a blue "pastille" in the front of them.
I think the new captain cool and buy 15 of them. I decide to transformate them in "yankees"
I know that i compromise history but aren't they original ? :D

no worries cooster67!
so you just wanted to conceal the swords..they do look nice..the two tone coloc :) for a moment i thought i could spray likewise too :D
yes, they are cool! i'm also green with envy because they wont be here for another 2 years :(
dont worry about history...mine too are sometimes compromised for originality and the beautiful toys that they make!

Where are you, Cheng?
Where do you live? Many of us would like to help, but often the postage costs make sending you Playmobil very expensive ... :(

thanks Richard!
i do learn a lot and get alot of help from kind friends on playmoboard :)
normally i buy direct from playmobil.de and through friends and relatives overseas...
your are right about the postage...after clearance and customs...they become ridiculous(thats why 3030 is selling for US184 here...and when converted it like 140 McDonald burgers here!)
kuala lumpur is about 400km north of singapore...
and because its hard to get playmobil...i treasure them even more...no burning of klicy arms or legs and mostly i make reversible customs :)
and best of all...having to wait limits my spending on 'unecessary' sets :D :D :D

Some of us forget how lucky we are to be able to easily get the Playmobil that we want!
I don't want to be accused of "thread-jacking" cooster67's post, Cheng! ... :)
So, if you would like to introduce yourself in the "welcome" forum, we can continue this discussion there ...

very envious of your huge ACW armies!
AND that was a very good idea...using the old 3-way connectors to hold the 3 rifles together! (i've always wanted to do so but unable to balance 3 rifles without any 'help'...why didnt i think about the conectors :( )
keep your photos and great ideas coming! thank you! :)

Hello, cooster67 ...
How many different flags do you have for your armies?
Every time you post some new photos, I seem to see more new flags!
You're flags are great! Where did you get them?
All the best,
Richard

Hello cooster67,
nice to see your pictures. How many soldiers do you have for each army of the both sides?
Is it possible that you present us some parade pictures from your armys. I think that will give us a much more better imagine.
You have some very interesting combinations for your troops. Very nice!
I`m also interested in the source for your flags. Can you give us some more Informations about this. Do find them in the WWW?
Best regards
Bennain

Hello,
Richard, I have in fact only 5 flags for the army of the union.
Bennain the army consists of approximately:
120 soldiers
35 soldiers black
18 zouaves
12 guns and 40 artillerists
80 riders with horses.
You are right I should make a procession as I have make for the Southerners, can be one day. :D
The file of the flags was sent to me by a collector of playmofrance. It is also in this file which the sign which poses problem because it was made by Zackenfrisur

...35 soldiers black....cooster67
Wow, that's a dream! I've only 2 black soldiers. :( So you can very easily build the 54th Massachusetts Infantry with Colonel Shaw as their leader and show us the assault of Battery Wagner! :D
Your Zuaves are brilliant, I also try to make a Zuave company.
Best regards
Bennain
