Hello all,
I made new coats for my redcoats (without miliput or anything!) quite easily!
I am still in the testing phase! (the white facings will be printed on sticker in final versions!)
Watch!
-
I also made a 2nd version for my officers
And here also, still testing the best designs.....
-
Also to be used on horseback!!
2nd pic.: first I experimented with paper sheets...
-
I then made a final design...
And used plastic coloured sheets from the office shop!
-
Here you see the coat itself...
-
And then I slide it over the body being held also by the crossbelt!
-
figure from the backside
2nd pic.: the officers coat
-
The final 2 pics, the officer coat....
I will keep on experimenting, finalizing the design allong the way!
I'll keep you posted allong the way!!
-
By the way,
I was inspired by the new long coat made by Georba, on a pirate included in the DVD pirate adventure box....
-
Very clever idea, Marco! 8)
I think they look marvellous. :D What I really like is how they suit the Playmobil figure so well. It doesn't look like a modification - looks just like Geobra had produced it themselves. Probably because of the materials and the simple lines you have used.
Well done and thanks for sharing this easy-to-copy tip! :)
-
I made some improvements.... AND pics!
Here the new versions of a colonel, a regular soldier and a captain....
-
...
-
yes, I very much agree with what 'Sylvia says..' ;D
Marco...you keep improving them! ;)
..and Marco, I dont mean to share your lime light...but I just want to say that I do like discussing methods and improvements with other talented customisers like yourself (my Qing Guards was very simple but you would have been a great motivation for me back then and I didnt do a good job of explaining step-by-step with such clear close-up pictures :P )
-
@Cheng...
Thanks! but you discovered the material earlier I see!!!
-
Here I am again....
I made final versions and started mass production!
(2nd pic. is a sticker I will be going to print to put on the front sides of the coats....)
-
Let the mass production begin!!!!
I made the coats a bit shorter.... Pictures I will taake when the paint is dry!
Enjoy
-
AND finished!
Both coats are now to be combined on horseback!
-
The general/colonel's coat...
-
And the whole company!
-
Incredible! Please send me a scale 1:1 sample.
-
MAGNIFIQUE!
very Playmobil, Marco! :)
(now GB's new long coats looks so primitive compared to yours :D
....I hope GB will improve the printing on their new coats someday....I dont have the energy to mass produce for all my redcoats like you ;) )

Wonderful customs. ;D
-
Fantastic :o
-
Nice soldiers!!!!
-

-
Very nice coats. Well Done!

I've always wanted to do a figure of an 18th century officer with his breastplate under his coat but couldn't work out how to do it without tons of miliput.
You're idea solves my problem! It's brilliant!
Thank you SO much!
-
This is wonderful thanks
-
Very nice work!!!
Also it is possible to use for made chainmail huscarl-shirts!!! I do not locate any material for that purpose
-
I saw this topic before but it was "ended" in december so I didnt comment...
I am glad it has been restarted because I would like to comment how great your custom coats are!
They really complete the playmo figures!
I am glad you thought of it because this opens so many posibilites!
Also it is possible to use for made chainmail huscarl-shirts!!! I do not locate any material for that purpose
Posibilities like chainmail shirts! Or over tunics from the crusader period!
Great job!!!

MAGNIFIQUE!
Very Playmobil, Marco! :)
Now Geobra's new long coat looks so primitive compared to yours :D

Your coats have so many possibilities.
Great coats for the Grenadier Guards
Great coats for the French Foreign Legion
And, on and on ... (https://gardenwargamer.com/images/clap.gif)
Marco, thank you so very much for sharing your creative genius with us!
All the best,
