Title: DD's Carribean Queen (custom ship)

I think I already posted some pics of the CQ somewhere on the net, but I just decided today to make this forum my central location for archiving by using the attachment feature instead of using hyperlinks to remote content.

So here's the complete set  8)

The most famous passenger on this ship is without any doubt the 'Carribean Queen'  
Without knowing she was modeled after Carmen Miranda  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmen_Miranda) who was was a Portuguese-born Brazilian samba singer and actress most popular in the 1940s and 1950s. But, it's more probable that I got my inspiration from the Chiquita Bananas logo  ???

These pirates are pretty exotic and friendly... Flowers everywhere  :-*
I'm sure lots has to do with the female touch of the commander  ;)

First time I used a cage on one of my ships instead of a load bridge... This is really required when transporting dangerous wild animals  :-\

Not to dissapoint you, but the CQ had been captured by some evil forces and turned into a Red Dragon ship  :o Sorry to all CQ fans for the recycling :o
