Title: my Ming guards
Post by: cheng on January 02, 2008, 08:37:25 AM
keeping myself busy while waiting for PM to launch more Asian themes  ;)

...cant resist another 'trivial-pursuit' question: can anyone guess where the helmet comes from?  :)

again some very nice customs cheng. By the way I read today Geobra will launch an Aegypt theme this year and I havent heard anything about an asian theme so far(exept for some rumors which r going around for a long time now).
My guess is that the helmet u used is from set 3888, cuz I think I have the same helmet and I think u put it on the head wrongly, but that was to make it look as an Asian helmet  ;D.

I kicked this back into circulation.

I like your ming guards, Cheng.

Did you work from source, or use best-guess?

I have pics of Tibetan soldiers I may take a stab at in the future.  The Tibetans once fielded a pretty mean cavalry, including cataphract horsemen!

Have you tried your hand at Qing officers?  The ones in the studded silk armor?

just a mixture of images in my head from paintings etc

good....looking forward to seeing your Tibetan soldiers!

I couldnt find nice/appropriate stickers to represent their well-decorated silk robes....would you like to show a picture or two here in case we are speaking of two different things?

here's one picture you might already have...
